Fortune's friction shafts are particularly suitable for rewinding reels of materials with unequal thicknesses along the width, without generating pull differences when winding multiple reels. The torque-activated ball lock design enables a high winding quality independent of the core quality. These rings are easy to handle and do not generate paper dust, since the contact between the core shaft and the winding tube is prevented. Double / single row of balls with staggered positioning prevent the so-called flattering of winding cores.
